At a parish in the urban area of Salzburg, the requirement was clearly defined: a large event space needed to adapt flexibly to a wide range of uses.
Lectures, meetings, exhibitions, workshops and events with varying numbers of visitors are held here on a regular basis. At the same time, there are frequent situations in which two events need to take place simultaneously.
A fixed wall would not provide this level of flexibility. The parish therefore chose a Palace 90 mobile partition wall, planned and implemented by WIPPRO.
Turning one room into two – within minutes
The Palace 90 makes it possible to divide the large event space into two fully usable areas within a short period of time.
Both rooms remain connected by the integrated connecting door and can be used independently of one another. This creates new possibilities for the day-to-day use of the building – without additional construction work or fixed partition walls.
For larger events, the entire partition wall can easily be opened. The individual panels are parked compactly at the side, opening up the full space again.
This allows the building to adapt to the requirements of its users at any time – rather than the other way around.
Greater comfort through effective sound insulation
Acoustics play a decisive role, particularly when events are taking place simultaneously.
Depending on the configuration, the installed Palace 90 achieves sound insulation values of up to 48 dB, providing effective acoustic separation between the rooms. The mobile partition walls operate without floor guides and are suspended from a high-quality track system, enabling easy operation and a high degree of stability.
For projects with even higher sound insulation requirements, additional solutions within the PARTHOS system are available with sound insulation of up to 57 dB. The most suitable configuration, however, always depends on the structural conditions and the intended use of the building.
Flexible spaces offer economic advantages
